Op ‘t randje (2021)

In their family performance Op ’t randje (On the edge), Danscollectief Arnhemse Meisjes takes you along the playground of existence while dancing. Climb the edge with them and jump into the depth of your own imagination!

This playful dance performance in the open air is an ode to open-mindedness and the urge to discover for young and old. The Arnhemse Meisjes stimulate children from the ages 6 to 10 years to stay connected to their inner voice and undisturbed core. They investigate how to follow your intuition and show the voyage of discovery through an endless variety of emotions and feelings. Where can they take us if we let them run wild?

While climbing and balancing on all the edges and ledges of the movable and changeable decor by scenographer Roos Matla, the Arnhemse Meisjes search for the limits of the unknown in a brave and playful way. Through the energetic and uplifting rhythms of live percussionist Ruben van Asselt, they find out together where it can lead us when all your emotions are allowed to be. Under the artistic supervision of Andreas Denk, who has been making dance theater for children with his company plan-d for decades. Together with STT produkties, we bring Op ‘t randje to elementary schools all around the Netherlands.
