Dancecollective Arnhemse Meisjes creates accessible, contemporary dance performances in the public space. Their performances are stimulating as well as understandable for an audience not yet familiar with contemporary dance. In accessible (open air) performances, the Arnhemse Meisjes take the poetic quality and experience of contemporary dance out of the dark theater hall, and to the audience. They do this with dance theater performances with recognizable themes, a light and playful approach and with direct contact and interaction with the crowd. They make contemporary dance accessible and appealing to a new, broad public.
The performances of the Arnhemse Meisjes can be seen on (open air) theater festivals and events in the Netherlands and in Europe, from cultural events to city streets, and from schools to shopping areas.
